HITACHI SB 75 is an excellent 3 in. x 21 in. sander. It has the highest amp motor in the group, the dust bag works well and it has two speeds. It would be handier if the low end of the speed range were lower, but it works OK. A weak spot is the belt-change lever. It's pointy and hard to pull. Get the bench stand to really make this one versatile.

Product Description

The 302 stainless steel sphere has a mirror-like finish, meets American Society for Testing and Materials International ASTM A493 specifications, is Grade 100, and has a precision tolerance. The 302 stainless steel grade has higher carbon content than general-purpose 304 stainless steel, providing greater strength and better toughness. An austenitic stainless steel that is one of the 18-8 grades, 302 is typically nonmagnetic and can be cold worked to increase its hardness and strength while maintaining most of its formability. The mirror-like finish provides a bright, reflective appearance.

Stainless steel is an iron alloy with resistance to staining and rusting in many environments where steel would typically degrade. The chemical composition of each grade creates a grain structure that falls into one of five classes: austenitic, duplex, ferritic, martensitic, and precipitation hardening. The austenitic class contains the most formable, weldable, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel grades, but they cannot be heat treated. The duplex class offers high resistance to pitting and chloride stress corrosion cracking. Duplex grades are heat treatable and roughly twice as strong as austenitic grades. The ferritic class contains moderately formable and corrosion-resistant grades compared to other stainless steel classes, but they cannot be heat treated. The martensitic class includes some of the hardest and strongest stainless steel grades that also offer mild corrosion resistance, high hardness, and good formability. I purchased this tool at a Grand Opening and I am very pleased. I have a Handyman service and need tools on demand, not later. I have used electric rotary tools and this one matches the power. I like the ease of movement. It has not met its match. It uses any brand SDS shank not just DeWalt. I even have a point bit I use, kinda tough, but it works. It is not as bulky as it would seem; it is ahead of corded. If it does twist out, and who hasn't?, there is no cord. I just really like this tool, the price is higher than a corded, but worth it for what I do. JP

The Merit Brass reducing coupling is a class 125 lead-free brass pipe fitting with female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on both ends for connecting male pipes. Lead Free Brass Pipe Fitting, Reducing Coupling, Class 125, 4" X 3" NPT Female Review

I purchased the 3/8" x 1/4" NPT female reducing coupling for the same reason as the other reviewer, to attach a Gaggia Classic portafilter to a Merrill PG200 pressure gauge. The threading did not align with the portafilter, through it is the right size. I could screw it in slightly, but it would go ajar and come off. I returned the first one for a replacement which had the exact same issue. Went to a local hardware store and purchased the same size reducing coupling which threaded fine. My guess is that Amazon currently has a bad batch (mine was shipped from and sold by Amazon LLC).
