They look good but I never felt comfortable with the way they mount. Seemed loose and at 75+ I was always afraid they would come off. I have dealership tech install them for me (not chevy) but was not easy. One eventually became loose and came off, I was lucky did not do any damage. Took them all off. Id rate these a Do Not Buy.

Rothenberger 22124 Tee Extractor Set, 1/2", 5/8", 7/8", 1-1/8"OD Review

I had a large radiant heating job that needed custom manifolds made, I figured this tool would pay for it self in one job. I really wanted a t drill, but could not justify the $3000 ++ price tag to get one. The directions are a joke, it consists of a couple pictures and then they show redoing the holes with the rothenberger expander at the end. Crap??? Do I need the expander?? I did do the job without it, I am not sure why they show it in the picture. The first copper pipe I tried to put a dimple in the tool broke. I called rothenberger and was told they could not help me, they can only talk to the wholesaler. I then contacted the wholesaler, who was awesome, they sent out a new set that day, when I receive it, I need to send the other one back. The tool did work with out the cam pincer, I was able to make the manifolds, but have some complaints. I was using 1 1/2 type L copper, it was very tough to get the tee made without heating the pipe. It would be nice if you could keep the tool in place without it walking all over the pipe. It does deform the pipe but I guess you can buy pipe supports for $50 each to fix that. It is a well made tool, but the price is quite steep for what you get, it seams like you need to buy more stuff to get it work right. I am writing this not to complain, but to to put some info out there, I could not find any reviews on the tool when I went to buy it.

The Dormer MTT E061/MTT E071 high-speed steel hand threading tap has straight flutes, a round shank with a square end, and a gold oxide finish on sizes below 1”, and is used to create right-hand threads in a range of materials, with best performance in cast iron, aluminum, and magnesium. It is available in two different ANSI thread specification standards: UNC (Unified Coarse) or UNF (Unified Fine). The straight flutes are suitable for threading through holes (extending through the workpiece) and blind or bottoming holes (with only one opening). Gold oxide is a low-temperature heat treatment that reduces grinding stress within the tool. In this series all sizes below a nominal diameter of 1� � have the gold oxide finish; sizes 1 � and larger have an uncoated (bright) finish.

Right-hand threads are designed to tighten when the head or nut is rotated clockwise (the most common threading direction). High-speed steel (HSS) is a common general-purpose steel for cutting tools and is compatible with a variety of materials. With no coating or surface treatment, an uncoated tool can be used on a broad range of materials and provides an economical alternative to coated tools. The round shank with square end makes this tap suitable for hand or power-driven applications. This tool can be used in machines, such as drill presses or lathes, or with hand tools such as tap wrenches.

In the Dormer MTT E061/MTT E071 series, taps that are machine-screw size 6 have three flutes and all other sizes have four flutes. They are available with a variety of chamfers. This tap conforms to ANSI standards and can create threads to a depth 1 � times its diameter. It is suitable for ANSI 2B and 3B tolerance classes: 2B is an average quality fit for commercial and industrial fasteners; 3B produces close-tolerance fasteners that resist loosening, as in aerospace applications.

Taps produce internal threads in previously formed holes and can be used in machines (such as drill presses) or with hand tools. Common types of taps include hand taps, spiral point taps, spiral flute taps, thread forming taps, and pipe taps. Hand taps (straight-flute taps) collect chips in the straight flutes of the tool; spiral point taps push chips through holes ahead of the tool; and spiral flute taps pull chips back from the tip of the tool, up and out the hole. Thread forming taps, also known as cold forming taps, press rather than cut to create threads in a drilled hole, and no chips are created. Pipe taps create threads in pipes and pipe fittings. No surprises, this bottom tap cleaned up five of the seven turns of internal thread. Quite happy to have this in my tool box, as this can be a recurring problem when mounting up wall lamps (8-32 threading).

Tap comes in its own reusable, labeled, red plastic case, for safe storage in the toolbox.

This is an excellent auger bit and it cuts a smooth walled 1-1/4 inch hole perfectly. That said, it requires a lot of torque to drive this because of its size. Make sure you use a contractor grade drill to drive it, or you may run the risk of burning out the motor. My Dewalt Right Angle 1/2 inch drill handles it with no problem but you can hear and feel it "working" with this bit.
