I don't use it more than a 1/2 dozen times a year. Even so, I still wouldn't be without it. They are designed to be easily rigged and very versatile. For a hoist of this capacity, the rugged aluminum frame keeps the weight quite manageable. The operation is smooth and the cable always stays nicely wound on the drum. The telescoping handle is a nice feature. I also have their light frame unit which I use the most. It is handier due to its smaller size. However, the 15SH will certainly handle all the chores on its own. A GREAT product.

SHOP FOX W1689 5 HP 15-Inch Wide-belt Sander Review

I bought this machine from an outside vendor because I got it for $4000 dollars delivered. The machine comes enclosed in a wooden crate and is very heavy. Unloaded the machine with my Bobcat using the pallet forks. Bought a Shop Fox 2058A Heavy Duty mobile base for the machine as it weights 815 pounds. Since the machine does not have a square base, I had to build one using 2 X 10's and plywood. I screwed the 2 X 10's to the plywood and placed it into the mobile base. I also used a 2 X 10 board to lift the machine off the wooden pallet and place it onto the mobile base. I did this by opening both the top doors on the machine and inserting the 2 X 10 all the way across, extended outside the machine on both sides. I wrapped heavy duty straps around the 2 X 10's and each of the pallet forks on the Bobcat. We slowly lifted the machine and only enough to remove the wooden pallet and slice the mobile base in its place. We lowered the machine onto the mobile base and used lag bolts to secure it down. Even though this machine now has a mobile base, with its weight, you still have to be very careful moving it around. Since this machine does NOT come with its own power cord, I had to make one. I would highly recommend you use #10 wire in your cord. This machine draws alot of juice. After cleaning off the waxy greasy substance the put on the metal surfaces at the factory I put on a new sanding belt and was going to give this machine its first go. I hooked up the air supply and after checking everything, I turned on the machine. The sanding belt broke immediately. I was already worried I got a lemon as I thought I checked everything before starting the machine up. Well in looking, I found there is a horseshoe shaped belt guard on the machine that I failed to get the sanding belt inside of. After correcting this mistake, everything was ok. I ran my first board through the machine. I used a 1 X 4 piece of Hickory. The board ran through the machine smoothly but when it came out on the other side, it had burn marks on the surface of it. I ran it through 3 more times without changing the sanding depth and the burning marks sanded right out. The surface was baby butt smooth. I learned that you need to let the machine do the work and to try not to take such huge bites on the first pass. This machine does NOT work like a Planer. Great machine for those of us who cannot afford a 37 inch or wider belt sander. Smaller cabinet shops will love this machine.

The 303 stainless steel round rod has an unpolished (mill) surface, has been annealed, meets American Society for Testing and Materials International ASTM A582 specifications, and has a standard tolerance. The 303 stainless steel grade offers better machinability than general-purpose 304 stainless steel with slightly less corrosion resistance. An austenitic stainless steel, 303 is typically nonmagnetic and can be cold worked to increase its hardness and strength while maintaining most of its formability. The material has been annealed, a method of heating and cooling metal to modify its properties, such as increasing its formability and toughness or decreasing its strength, after it has been shaped.

Stainless steel is an iron alloy with resistance to staining and rusting in many environments where steel would typically degrade. The chemical composition of each grade creates a grain structure that falls into one of five classes: austenitic, duplex, ferritic, martensitic, and precipitation hardening. The austenitic class contains the most formable, weldable, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel grades, but they cannot be heat treated. The duplex class offers high resistance to pitting and chloride stress corrosion cracking. Duplex grades are heat treatable and roughly twice as strong as austenitic grades. I could not have been more surprised to find JUST what I needed, 6' of the stuff, here of all places. Shipping was more than reasonable considering the weird shape and the price is fantastic. Delivered in less than a week in a 6' long mailer it arrived on time, exactly as decribed. These guys are going to be getting a lot more of my busines for small parts and raw materials now I know they exist.

Drum Mount - Solvent Without retractor c Review

Description incomplete, picture was wrong picture, they have since fixed picture, had shown the version with work light. Vendor was horrible, weeks late delivery, no response to communications. Price considerably less than anywhere else on web. Even less than vendors own website! Was worth the wait. I knew the model number I wanted so that is how I found this vendor. Came shipped by motor carrier.
About the item now.... Awesome build quality, perfect packaging for shipping, awesome quality, doesn't over pump and squirt all over, as many of cheaply made ones do. And it is dead quiet. I added a flow through brush. Don't even think of using one of these without a brush. The solvent is the way to go. Water based cleaners don't even come close. My local tractor supply stocks parts washer solvent. Added 2 five gallon containers. I've used many other parts washers, this is way more expensive but it looks like it will last a long long time. Very happy with purchase. Was happy to save over a 100 bucks with this vendor even though they have poor service.

Baldor 632E 6-Inch 1800 RPM Deluxe Grinder Review

This grinder is exceptionally smooth, and it's US-built. Now that may not seem like a big deal, but here are my thoughts on that. There are a lot of Chinese and Taiwanese grinders available, but they're not the same models that were available under the same name-brand even two years ago. The importers change factories, and hence models, regularly. This Baldor grinder is made in Fort Smith, Arkansas. If there is a problem with it... even 20 years from now... parts will be available.The quality of this unit is immediately apparent when one looks at the heft of the tool rests. They're not stamped steel, but rather heavy cast steel that's machined smooth on one side -- these are tool rests you don't have to replace immediately (some of the stamped steel tool rests are so flimsy!). Next, look at the wheel guards. Again, cast and heavy... nothing's going to bend or dent these things! Inside, you've got a Baldor motor -- the recognized industry "best" for electric motors...If you could compare this grinder side-by-side with one of the imports, you would quickly understand why it carries a higher price.Highly Recommended! Didn't buy mine from Amazon or any of its vendors because of the high prices. Found mine from a private seller for much less (just over half price).
When I got it, it had excessive horizontal blade play, so I sent it to Case for repair under warranty (new in the box knife, made in March of 2013). It took two tries, but they finally got it right. Thanks to Mary Ann and Ron for restoring my faith in the integrity of Case.

This is an elegantly simple construction of a folding knife, done well. A backspring, two pins, a lanyard tube, two slabs of carbon fiber and a blade. Some fixed blade knives have more parts than this. Its sophistication is in its simplicity.
