After receiving the product, I compaired rpm accuracy to a digital ignition tachometer. The calibration of the new Oregon 42-423 tachometer had not been set correctly at the factory. On low scale setting, the calibration showed to be set about 600 rpm lower than the engine rpm was actually running (3000rpm). Also, high scale was not set correctly.

I was successful in setting the calibration to a more accurate reading.

For the amount of money paid for this product, rpm accuracy reading should have been within plus or minus 2% accuracy,
(Not plus or minus 20% accuracy).
