I needed these to wick some solder away from some of the components I'm working on. They work really well with the wick/flux combination being able to do the job more efficiently than the solder vacuum. I can never seem to get the solder vacuum to the joint fast enough to keep the solder from cooling. With this, I just heat the braid and the solder is wicked away.
