Nothing in the purchase indicated this item was actually reconditioned. It wasn't until after purchasing when I was checking compatibility issues with batteries did I notice the "R" on the end of the model number and discovered that this item was in fact reconditioned and not new. I don't see any obivious issues with the drill but feel like I was misled when making my purchase and even the Amazon receipt says "New." Just be careful!
