I'm a novice wood and metal worker and get extremely frustrated when things do not line up! I purchased a square from Stanley and gave it my simple test. I place the square along the edge of my drafting table and draw a line along the edge of the rule. I then flip the square 180 degrees and compare the rule edge to the line I just drew. Well guess what? The Stanley is not even close! In my opinion all of the $20.00 and under squares are about the same The Mitutoyo is the only combo square that passes the test! I guess you get what you pay for. Enough said.
