The grade 5 titanium round rod is annealed and unpolished, meets United States Military Standard MIL-SPEC T-9047 and SAE Aerospace Material Specifications AMS 4928 standards, and has a standard tolerance. The grade 5 titanium alloy, also known as Ti-6Al-4V, is stronger than grade 2 titanium and has both formability and corrosion resistance. The material has been annealed, a method of heating and cooling metal to modify its properties, such as increasing its formability and toughness or decreasing its strength, after it has been shaped.

I ordered this Titanium rod to use as a cello pin.
My steel pin was too short for me.
The Ti pin is extremely tough and quite elastic, which I like for playing.
Titanium grade 5 is indestructible and so hard I had trouble cutting it to length with my hacksaw.
The weight is about half that of a steel pin, a significant reduction.
The cost is reasonable as no additional rework is needed.
