Galvanized steel nylon-coated wire rope with 7x19 standard construction can be used over pulleys, rigging, winches, in exercise equipment, and garage door mechanics. This wire rope is black colored for ease of recognition. Galvanized steel wire rope is coated with a thin layer of zinc that protects underlying material from corrosion and provides rust resistance. This strong material remains ductile over long work periods, and has a higher breaking strength than stainless steel. Nylon coating is very strong, lightweight, and flexible, has excellent abrasion resistance, and resists crushing and cracking. 7x19 strand core has seven strands of wire rope with nineteen wires in each strand formed helically around a strand core. 7x19 strand core is more flexible, and fatigue-resistant than 7x7 class construction.

This wire rope is just what I was looking for to use for repairing worn cable in home gym. Perfect replacement size to what I already have. The 2000 Ibs breaking strength is more than strong enough to cope with the force that is put on it, in actual fact it is the nylon coating that breaks down not the wire it self. This cable is very flexible which is what you need as it has to run through all the pulleys. To buy this cable already made up as a replacement item for your home gym or public gyms for that matter would cost you a small fortune. If you are handy with basic tools it is not very difficult to make up your own replacement cables, while saving a small fortune in the process.
