This Stears VR Versatile Rescue Vest is designed to provide extra shock absorbtion with polyethylne foam. The outer shell of this rescue vest is made with 500-denier nylon pack cloth for strength and durability and a soft 200 - denier nylon liner for your comfort. Front and back fold out side panels provide side protection for a full range of sizes. Panels fold in for added ventilation. The low profile design adds cushioning yet permits unrestricted freedom of movement. The longer torso length offers a better body coverage. This vest is designed with a removable crotch strap that stows away in a pocket when not in use. Features adjustable elastic shoulders that help to take up extra fabric. Includes 3M Scotchlite Reflective Material, SOLAS-grade 6755 on front and back for improved nighttime visibility. Available in 2 colors - adult universal size. Minimum 25 lb buoyancy. I've used this PFD for numerous swiftwater rescues over the last few years. My crew always made fun of me for having such a fancy rig with all kinds of gadgets until Hurricane Irene came to town and I used EVERY tool I had with me. Now everybody's asking me where they can find this PFD. Lots of pockets and attachment points.

One issue.... Too many straps. This is not a vest you just slip on. It takes a minute or two to get the proper fit and tighten everything down just right. But if you're going to be operating all day in a flood zone or extended water ops, this is THE PFD to wear.
